David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a leading financial services company who is seeking to onboard a Payroll Officer for their Limassol office.
Position: Payroll Officer
Location: Limassol Cyprus
Employment type: fixed-term contract (1 year) with possibility of permanent upon fullfiling
Remuneration: Base salary.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Process monthly payroll accurately and on time for group employees
Collect and validate monthly payroll changes from internal departments
Coordinate with external payroll providers and review payroll calculations before final approval
Prepare and distribute direct salary payments in applicable jurisdictions
Upload payroll batch files to banking systems for processing
Ensure full compliance with payroll legislation tax regulations wage laws and benefits administration
Generate payroll reports and analyses for management as required
Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records and documentation
Prepare monthly payroll reconciliations and group payroll analysis
Post payroll-related journal entries in accounting software
Respond to employee payroll-related queries professionally and confidentially
Collaborate closely with HR to ensure accurate employee data and policy compliance
Support additional payroll and accounting tasks as assigned by senior finance leadership.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in accounting Finance Business Administration or a related field
Strong knowledge of Cyprus payroll legislation (mandatory)
Knowledge of Estonia or other regions payroll legislation will be considered as an advantage
Solid understanding of payroll principles practices and statutory requirements
Proven experience in payroll of multinational groups with more than 150 employees
Excellent command of English both written and spoken. Fluency in Greek will be considered as an advantage
High attention to detail with strong accuracy and analytical skills
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
