The Role:
- Implement maintain and review payroll processing and accounting systems to ensure accurate and timely payroll transactions (salaries benefits taxes and deductions).
- Process payroll updates including new hires terminations and changes to pay rates.
- Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations including tax obligations.
- Calculate and process holiday deductions overtime earnings and other employee benefits.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and reconcile payroll-related accounts.
- Recommend updates to payroll accounting software systems and procedures.
- Resolve payroll-related queries and issues.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax reports and returns on time.
- Manage personnel expenses and reimbursements maintain proper books of accounts and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist with accounts receivable accounts payable budgets forecasts and ad hoc accounting projects.
- Liaise with auditors tax authorities and social insurance offices.
- Prepare periodic management accounts and reports.
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial and employee information.
Your Profile:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Experience managing high volume payroll of 300 employees
- Proven experience in accounting focusing on payroll accounts payable and fixed assets.
- Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and payroll tax requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluent in English and a strong command of the Greek language (B2 or above).
- Excellent attention to detail organizational skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
What is on Offer:
- Salary Range: EUR 45000 - 52000 gross/year (approx. EUR 3000 -3300 net/month)
- Additional excellent net monthly allowance for parents of children under 18.
