Job Title: Galderma Summer 2026 Intern: Legal and Compliance

Location: Boston MA

Salary: $30/Hour

Description

As part of Galdermas Internship Program the Compliance & Legal Operations Intern will support key initiatives across Compliance and Legal functions. This role offers hands-on exposure to compliance policy development training design contract management and legal operations within a global dermatology organization while reinforcing Galdermas culture of integrity and patient-centricity.

This internship is ideal for a student who is detail-oriented analytical and interested in compliance legal operations risk management or healthcare governance.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Partner with business colleagues and the Compliance team to refresh guidance for a specific compliance area.

  • Support revisions to the relevant compliance manual chapter to reflect updated guidance.

  • Assist in designing compliance training materials and a communication plan to support rollout.

  • Participate in field monitoring activities alongside Compliance team members as appropriate.

  • Upload a defined set of commercial contracts into the Global Contracts Repository (GCR) in accordance with company policy.

  • Review and audit a specified group of US commercial contracts already housed in the GCR for accuracy and completeness.

  • Document audit findings and prepare summaries and recommendations to improve contract data accuracy and auditability.

  • Support Legal team members during litigation contract review or commercial negotiation meetings as appropriate.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Compliance Legal and business stakeholders.

  • Support documentation tracking and project coordination activities.

  • Participate in team meetings and provide updates on assigned tasks.

  • Uphold Galdermas values emphasizing integrity compliance and patient-first decision-making.

Learning Objectives:

Interns will gain exposure and hands-on experience in:

  • Compliance policy development and training design within a regulated healthcare environment.

  • Legal operations and contract lifecycle management.

  • Understanding how compliance and legal functions partner with the business to manage risk.

  • Exposure to field monitoring litigation support and commercial negotiations.

  • Strengthening attention to detail analytical thinking and professional judgment.

  • Working cross-functionally in a global corporate environment.

Deliverables:

  • Updated compliance policy and revised manual chapter for a key compliance initiative.

  • Compliance training materials and rollout communication plan.

  • Accurate upload and summarization of a specified group of commercial contracts in GCR

  • Audit report identifying errors in existing contracts including recommendations to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Key Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelors or masters degree program in Business Legal Studies Compliance Public Policy Healthcare Administration or a related field.

  • Strong interest in compliance legal operations risk management or healthcare governance.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint); experience with contract databases or compliance tools is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
