Network Tester

The Network Tester is responsible for evaluating testing and validating network infrastructure connectivity and performance to ensure reliability security and optimal operation. This role involves conducting field tests lab-based assessments troubleshooting network issues and providing detailed reporting to support network deployment upgrades and maintenance activities.

In this role the Network Test Engineer will be conducting endtoend testing and validation across LAN WAN wireless fibre and IP network systems ensuring functional performance load stress and regression requirements are met. They validate network configurations routing protocols and connectivity parameters while utilising industrystandard diagnostic tools such as Wireshark Spirent iPerf Fluke Networks and NetScout to analyse logs traces and test outputs for identifying faults bottlenecks and performance issues. The role involves performing onsite testing for new installations upgrades and network expansions as well as supporting lab-based simulations proofofconcept activities and compliance verification with SLAs technical standards and performance benchmarks. The engineer is also responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing network connectivity issues collaborating with engineers and vendors to resolve failures and providing recommendations for optimisation and risk mitigation. Additionally they prepare detailed test reports defect logs network analysis documentation and maintain accurate records of test plans test cases configurations results and remediation actions.

Qualifications :

• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP routing switching and VLANs
• Experience with network monitoring and testing tools
• Knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP OSPF and EIGRP
• Familiarity with fibre networks Ethernet technologies wireless networks and cloud connectivity
• Experience in network testing quality assurance or a network engineering environment
• Background in telecommunications ISP operations IT infrastructure or enterprise networking (preferred)
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
• Excellent communication and documentation capabilities
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in crossfunctional engineering teams
• High attention to detail with a structured and methodical approach to testing
