Applications are invited for appointment as Full-time / Part-time Instructional Designer (at the rank of Senior Research Assistant or Post-doctoral Fellow) in the Centre for Advancement of Chinese Language Education and Research (CACLER) within the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 534397) to commence as soon as possible for one year with the possibility of renewal.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Chinese language education or a Masters degree in Chinese language education with at least one years post-qualification experience or a Bachelors degree with at least 3 years post-qualification experience preferably in the field of education. They should also have a good command of written and spoken Chinese and experience in IT applications and Chinese computer operations. Preference will be given to those who have research experience in the field of Chinese language education and knowledge of the local education context in Hong Kong. Applicants possess a Ph.D. degree will be considered for appointment at the rank of Post-doctoral Fellow.
The appointee will work on a project on promoting students self-directed learning and Chinese online reading competencies. He/She will assist the Project Leader to develop reading tasks exercises other teaching & learning instructional resources and reading materials in accordance with the primary and secondary education reading proficiency frameworks; prepare guides and manuals for schools and teachers; conduct systematic reviews of literatures; prepare research papers; and performing other duties as assigned.
