Job Summary

The Senior Accounts Executive reporting to the Director and Owners is responsible for overseeing the daily financial and accounting operations of the organization. Key responsibilities include managing financial transactions maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely reconciliation and reporting of financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately record and manage daily financial transactions including accounts payable accounts receivable cash receipts credit card transactions and payroll.
  • Prepare timely and accurate month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations ensuring accounting schedules are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Facilitate outward foreign exchange payments adhering to regulatory requirements exchange rates and organizational policies.
  • Process and manage inward foreign exchange receipts ensuring accurate accounting and timely crediting of funds.
  • Ensure proper revenue and expense recognition in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Monitor cash and investment balances perform cash flow forecasting and maintain liquidity.
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Director and budget managers to develop and monitor departmental project and organizational budgets and assist with monthly financial reporting.
  • Perform fiscal year-end close activities and support external auditors as needed.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Director of Finance and provide updates on financial matters.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve finance and accounting operations through technology and process enhancements and provide training to staff on financial and accounting software.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet organizational requirements. Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree required degree in finance accounting or relevant field a plus.
  • Masters degree and/or CPA certification a plus.


Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience as an Accountant in a relevant industry such as freight forwarding customs clearance manufacturing or export house.
  • Proficiency in accounting software specifically Tally Prime with hands-on experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and lead accounting teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of tax laws including GST TDS PF PT and Income Tax as well as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Strong organizational and stress management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to train and manage staff effectively.
