We are recruiting for a Quality & Innovations Committee Support Student. To provide support to the BelieveInYourself Committee and Quality and Innovations Department with advocacyinitiatives within Empower Simcoe.This is a full-time position starting as soon as April 20 2026 for approximately 4-5 months. This position works up to 37.5 hours biweekly with an hourly rate of pay of $21.43. Please note that this position is contingent upon funding approval through the Federal Government Canada Summer Jobs program.
Minimumrequirements of this position include:
- Completion of secondary schooland enrolled in post-secondary education in Social ServicesProgram or other closely related fields of education is an asset
- Some experience working with people with an intellectual disability with social mediaplatforms and project planning an asset
- Demonstrated skillsininclusiveleadership includingbuilding relationships problem solving and decision makingself-awarenesschampioning change and innovation.
- Excellent written and verbalcommunicationsskills.
- Knowledge and familiarity with computer operations and software applications.
- Current valid drivers licence and own reliable transportation to be used in the course of employment.
Overview of Duties (including but not limited to):
- Supporting the BelieveInYourself Committee members toidentifykey advocacy topics
- Supporting the BelieveInYourself Committee members to create advocacy content and share on social media platforms
- Support members of the BelieveInYourself Committee toparticipatein Strategic Plan initiatives
- Support members of the BelieveInYourself Committee to plan and organize a day of Education
- Support Quality and Innovation Manager with completing a needs assessment of people receiving accommodations services todeterminehousing preferences
- Providing administrativeassistanceto the Quality and Innovation team including Central Records as
- Assistingwith research related to Empower Simcoes program areas and J2B readiness
- Assistingwith research related to Outside paid Resources in Simcoe County
