About PwC SATIC and the role
At PwCs South Africa Technology & Innovation Centre (SATIC) a hub dedicated to fostering technological advancement and innovative solutions the Senior Operations Manager is crucial to assisting the Business Unit (BU) Lead with the daily operations of the BU. Acting as an effective second-in-command this role involves managing staff and client interactions leading interviews spearheading communication efforts compiling and presenting reports and actively participating in monthly steering committee meetings. The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for supporting across all service lines within the BU ensuring smooth operations and excellence in service delivery.
Summary:
The Senior Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the Business Unit (BU) Lead in the day-to-day operations of the Business Unit. As the effective second-in-command to the BU Lead you will manage staff and client engagements lead interviews drive communication efforts compile and present reporting and contribute actively to monthly steering committee meetings. This position is responsible for supporting across all lines of service within the BU ensuring seamless operations and excellence in service delivery.
Qualifications /Certifications required:
Bachelors degree.
Certification in Project Management (PMP PRINCE2 or equivalent) is preferred.
Experience required:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration
5 years of senior management experience in a professional services environment
Experience in Global Business Services/ Delivery center will be advantageous
Responsibilities of role:
1. Operational Support:
Support the BU Lead in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Business Unit ensuring efficient and effective processes.
Implement operational strategies in line with the overall business goals.
Ensure territory objectives are articulated and implemented aligned to SATIC business Goals
Support with all aspects of facilities and team wellness activities including in office monitoring
Support Service Leaders with guidance on Standard operating procedures quality standards and reporting
2. Staff Management:
Manage mentor and develop team members fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Support recruitment efforts including conducting interviews and onboarding new staff.
3. Client & Stakeholder Engagements:
Serve as additional point of contact for client interactions escalations ensuring high levels of service and client satisfaction.
Work alongside the BU Lead to strategize and implement client engagement plans.
4. Communication and Reporting:
Develop and execute communication plans facilitating clear and transparent internal communication.
Prepare analyse and present detailed reports for leadership and stakeholders.
5. Steering Committee Meetings:
Coordinate and contribute to monthly steering committee meetings ensuring alignment on business unit goals and objectives.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Working closely with other departments leads to ensure a unified approach across all lines of service.
Align with the SATIC leadership team and other stakeholders on operational matters.
