Pay: |
HK $57842 to $87341 (HGPS Point 24 to 33) per month including Monthly Allowance |
|
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance. |
|
Key Responsibilities: |
1. | To assist in the planning and development of patient catering services for HKWC within budgetary limits and resources agreed and delegated by Catering Manager I / General Manager (Administrative Services) whilst ensuring the maximum contribution to the level of patient care from the catering service. |
2. | Provide advice and recommendations in regards to future catering departmental planning in order to be in line with HAs directives in patient food service and meeting service needs. |
3. | To assist in performance evaluation of external patient catering service provider(s) to meet nutrition and catering standards and requirements. |
4. | Lead a team of executive/catering staff to achieve department objectives. |
5. | Perform any other projects / duties as assigned by his / her supervisors. |

Entry Requirements: |
1. | Higher Diploma in Hotel and Catering Management Studies or equivalent with at least 2 years post-qualification working experience in catering services. |
|
Preferred Attributes: |
1. | University degree in food science and /or food service management preferred. |
2. | At least 5 years management experience in institutional catering setting focusing on overseeing food service operations and ensuring health and safety compliance. |
3. | Demonstrated ability to carry out strategic planning and conduct project performance evaluation. |
4. | Familiar with the cook-chill and serve processes preferably gained in a hospital setting. |
5. | Training or work experience in ISO22000/HACCP OHS and ISO 14000. |
6. | Analytical adaptive and innovative with excellent communication and management skills. |
7. | A high degree of technical competence in both food production and nutrition preferred. |
