Your Role

Mallee District Aboriginal Services (MDAS) is one of Victorias largest Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations.

Our Swan Hill Community Cafe is seeking an energetic and experienced professional to commence as the Kitchen Coordinator.

In this integral role you will coordinate and oversee the preparation of all food and catering orders was per food safety requirements including overseeing ordering and maintenance of stock levels for all kitchen supplies. You will also be responsible for supervising kitchen staff planning menus and recipe development with the Kitchens and Catering Manager.

This position is offered on a permanent part time basis of 30 hours per week.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience in commercial kitchen operations.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing food safety requirements.

  • Knowledge of traditional foods and menu planning.

  • Experience in staff supervision.

Qualification/s:
Minimum of a CERT III Commercial Cookery

Other Screening Requirements:
Valid Drivers License that allows you to drive in Australia.
Victorian Employee Working with Children Check card.
National Police Check.
