Systems Manager

Join our Downer Professional Servicesteam and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australias future.

Downer Professional Services comprises of three business units our Technical Advisory and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer which partners with CASG and NSSG as a major service provider to Defence. Together we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for clients across Defence and National Security.

We currently have an opportunity for aSystems Manager in Canberrato work on Jointprojects.

What Youll Do

This role offers a broad scope with key role responsibilities including:

• Develop maintain and govern key sustainment artefacts including the Functional Area Management Plan PdS updates configuration control and transition documentation.

• Manage system performance certification and accreditation overseeing engineering certification security accreditation and reporting against PdS KPIs.

• Oversee acquisition refresh and obsolescence activities ensuring capability continuity and alignment with CAF16 governance requirements.

• Provide strategic advice and stakeholder support advising the CAF16 IPdM and AWC staff contributing to governance forums and supporting program/project events.

• Lead risk financial and contract management activities identifying and managing risks handling budgets and invoices and ensuring effective contract oversight.

What Youll Bring

• Knowledge of the aviation environment including aeronautical information charts instrument flight procedures and related publications.

• Experience managing mediumlarge enterprise networks and leading associated support teams.

• Project management capability supporting structured delivery and coordination.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Understanding of modern networking computers and operating systems enabling effective technical decisionmaking and support.

Due to the nature of the work you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimumNegative Vetting 1or higher Security clearance as required by the some instances compliance withInternational Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
