As the People Manager Engineering you will operate as a senior HR generalist and trusted advisor partnering with a geographically dispersed Engineering workforce across Australia New Zealand and Southeast Asia. You will work closely with leaders to deliver the people elements of their business plan ensuring HR initiatives and actions are designed and delivered in a timely disciplined and effective way. This role requires strong conceptual and analytical capability combined with a practical hands on approach to solving complex people challenges in a dynamic fast paced operational environment. You will balance strategic thinking with operational delivery providing expert advice across the full employee lifecycle while supporting leaders to drive performance engagement and change.
To be considered for this role key skills will include:
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline (postgraduate qualifications desirable)
- Proven experience as a generalist HR Business Partner or People Leader within operational and industrial environments ideally in complex matrixed organisations
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence and manage diverse stakeholders
- Confidence navigating case management performance management employment law and change initiatives
- Courage and credibility to coach and constructively challenge senior leaders
- The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining focus on strategic outcomes
- Strong working knowledge of performance management disciplinary processes and employment legislation
- Demonstrated capability to operate effectively in a fast paced high volume environment
- Experience in coaching and building leadership capability within an operational environment
