We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Release Manager to oversee and coordinate software release processes across our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background deep familiarity with SDLC CI/CD pipelines and software quality assurance practices. This role requires a meticulous individual who thrives on organization accountability and ensuring that releases are executed with precision and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Own and manage the end-to-end release process ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of software updates.
Organize and facilitate Change Approval Board (CAB) calls including scheduling timeboxing and mediating discussions.
Validate tasks submitted for release by confirming:
Alignment with JIRA ticket details.
Completion of developer reviews.
Adequate testing and QA validation.
All release criteria have been met.
Confirm that tasks are complete and ready before submission to CAB without assuming responsibility for chasing or closing them.
Coordinate schedules and organize contributors around release timelines.
Ask pertinent technical questions to validate readiness and challenge assumptions when necessary.
Maintain release documentation and ensure compliance with established standards.
Collaborate with development QA and operations teams to streamline release workflows.
Continuously improve release processes introducing efficiencies and enforcing best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree (or higher) in a technical engineering field (Computer Engineering Software Engineering Electrical Engineering or equivalent).
Minimum of 6 years of experience in software development QA or related technical roles.
Strong understanding of SDLC CI/CD pipelines and software quality assurance methodologies.
Proven ability to manage complex release schedules and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
Exceptional organizational skills with a natural ability to validate prioritize and structure tasks.
Confident communicator unafraid to question deliverables and validate correctness.
Experience with JIRA or similar task management tools.
Strong facilitation skills for leading structured meetings and mediating discussions.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent releases.
Preferred Attributes
Experience in gaming fintech or other high-availability software environments.
Familiarity with automation in release validation.
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and risk awareness.
