Journalism Specialist (AI Research Project)
Role Overview
We are seeking experienced journalism professionals for a paid remote research project in collaboration with a leading AI research lab. The initiative focuses on improving how advanced AI systems generate evaluate and fact-check content according to established journalistic standards.
This role is ideal for journalists and editors who want to apply their editorial judgement to emerging AI technologies while working flexibly and independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and edit AI-generated news articles and media content for accuracy tone and clarity

Fact-check written content using professional journalistic standards

Design and assess journalism-focused prompts scenarios and evaluation criteria

Provide structured feedback on credibility sourcing and editorial quality

Collaborate with researchers by simulating real-world newsroom and editorial workflows
Ideal Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in a newsroom media organization or as a freelance journalist

Strong editorial judgment and exceptional attention to factual accuracy

Excellent writing editing and communication skills

Experience across multiple journalistic formats (e.g. investigative opinion breaking news)

Degree in journalism communications or a related field preferred
