Job Summary
We are seeking a caring enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Teacher to join a welcoming early years setting in High Wycombe starting ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about supporting children in their first years of formal education.
The nursery provides a nurturing safe and stimulating environment where children develop confidence independence and a love of learning. Staff work collaboratively and are supported by experienced leaders who value professional development and high-quality teaching.
As a Nursery Teacher you will plan and deliver play-based and structured activities that support childrens learning and development across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging nursery activities in line with EYFS
Support childrens personal social emotional and communication development
Observe assess and record childrens progress
Work 1:1 or with small groups as needed
Promote positive behaviour and routines
Build strong relationships with children parents and carers
Collaborate with nursery support staff and colleagues
Maintain a safe organised and stimulating learning environment
Follow safeguarding health and safety policies
Contribute to staff meetings and professional development
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS or Early Years teaching qualification
Have experience working in nursery or EYFS settings
Be nurturing patient and child-centred
Be creative organised and reflective in practice
Have strong communication and teamwork skills
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
