KS2 Teacher – Cambridge

We are seeking a confident enthusiastic and experienced KS2 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Cambridge starting ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working across upper Key Stage 2 and is committed to delivering high-quality teaching that supports pupils academic social and emotional development.

As a KS2 Teacher you will plan deliver and assess lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum. You will support pupils to develop independence confidence and resilience preparing them for the transition to secondary school and ensuring they achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum

• Assess track and monitor pupil progress to inform planning and interventions

• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils including those with SEN

• Promote positive behaviour and high expectations in the classroom

• Create a stimulating structured and inclusive learning environment

• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants colleagues and senior staff

• Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and needs

• Contribute to staff meetings planning sessions and school initiatives

• Support pupils social emotional and academic development

• Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

• Have recent experience teaching in KS2

• Be confident in delivering a broad balanced and engaging curriculum

• Have excellent classroom management and organisational skills

• Be enthusiastic reflective and innovative in teaching practice

• Be a collaborative team player with strong communication skills

• Be committed to inclusion safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
