We are seeking a nurturing enthusiastic and highly motivated Reception Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Northampton starting ASAP. This is an exciting opportunity for an early years specialist who is passionate about supporting children as they take their first steps into formal education and develop a love of learning.

As a Reception Teacher you will plan and deliver high-quality play-based and structured lessons aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. You will support childrens learning across all developmental areas including literacy numeracy communication social skills and physical development while fostering curiosity independence and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging play-based lessons in line with the EYFS framework
Observe assess and track childrens progress across all areas of learning
Support the personal social and emotional development of pupils
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all children including SEN
Create a stimulating safe and inclusive classroom environment
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and early years colleagues
Build positive relationships with children parents and carers
Maintain accurate assessment records and learning journals
Promote positive behaviour routines and independence
Follow safeguarding health and safety and school policies at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Have experience teaching in EYFS or Reception
Be caring patient and child-centred
Be creative organised and reflective in practice
Have strong classroom management planning and assessment skills
Be a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
