Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Design & Technology Teacher to join a high-achieving secondary school in High Wycombe. This role includes a TLR and is ideal for a DT Teacher looking to take on additional responsibility within a successful and forward-thinking department.
Design & Technology is a strong and well-supported subject within the school with high expectations excellent student outcomes and a clear focus on practical learning and innovation.
The Role
Teaching Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4 with KS5 depending on experience and specialism
Delivering engaging practical and theory-based lessons with high standards of achievement
Taking on a TLR-linked responsibility such as curriculum leadership subject coordination or mentoring
Supporting curriculum development assessment and quality assurance within the department
Promoting excellent standards of health & safety across workshops
Contributing to the wider life and continued success of the school
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in Design & Technology or a related subject
Experience teaching DT at KS3 and KS4
Experience or readiness to take on additional responsibility or leadership
Strong practical skills and knowledge of workshop practice and health & safety
High expectations for pupil engagement behaviour and outcomes
A professional organised and collaborative approach
