High Level Role Description:
The HP Legal Corporate organization is seeking a Chief of Staff who will directly report to the Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel Corporate.
The Chief of Staff is an enterprise-first solutions-oriented partner who plays a crucial role by supporting the planning and execution of our organizational and Legal strategies priorities and key initiatives. As a trusted partner to senior leadership on a wide range of matters they drive operational excellence collaboration and alignment.

Responsibilities
- Manages relationships with key stakeholders. Comfortable communicating with and interacting cross-functionally at all levels both internally and externally and understands how to navigate a complex matrixed organization.
- Effectively carries out day-to-day action items for senior leadership as assigned to increase speed of execution including working on project coordination and legal business administration.
- Oversees organization meetings including drafting/owning meeting agendas (weekly leadership team AEM others) and leading meetings as needed.
- Assists with cross-team dynamics by identifying and helping to resolve any cross-team matters of concern with the goal of the team working in harmony with all the other Legal teams.
- Responsible for project management and assessments including risk cost and work required to achieve such followed by facilitation and oversight.
- Helps support the team to maintain excellence in Integrity and Compliance.
- Upholds team and legal priorities fostering a positive and cohesive work environment that helps to champion HP culture and values.
- Prepares internal and external communications drafting speeches presentations and other materials ensuring consistent messaging from the organization.
- Helps to ensure that decisions made by the Leadership team are effectively carried out throughout the organization tracking progress and resolving any obstacles.
- Provides data analysis and metrics of the teams productivity to the executive leadership team and suggest strategic initiatives to improve workflow teamwork and budget management.
- Establishes the metrics required to measure business performance and recommends the go-forward strategy to address performance gaps
- Drives coordination of all aspects of priority projects and makes recommendations for final team decisions.
- Develop business plans and proactively identify new opportunities as partners with client business leaders.
- Develops and drives comprehensive business plan recommendations based on analysis emerging trends and experience.
- Identifies or develops cutting- edge analytical tools models and methods for making key business decisions.
- Counsels business leaders recommends approaches for executing high-level strategies and develops creative solutions.
- Performs other duties and involvement in special projects as assigned.
- Partners closely with the Executive Assistant as the connective tissue of the executive office aligning strategic priorities with day-to-day execution coordinating workflows leadership cadence communications and follow-through to maximize executive effectiveness.
Education and Experience Required
Typically 10 years total experience in strategy planning legal operations finance or related functional area. Advanced university degree preferred (e.g. MBA) or 5 years of experience in a Corporate Legal department or supporting public company corporate governance.

The pay range for this role is $130700 to $205200 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location job-related knowledge skills and experience.
