About the Position:
Reporting to the Director of Property Accounting the Property Accountant is responsible for various aspects of the monthly full accounting cycle for certain residences and corporate entities including reconciliations compliance entity financial and management reports tax and other government compliance and continuous improvement of the companys financial reporting systems and processes. This is a current vacancy.
Salary: $85000-$100000 annually
This is a Permanent Full-Time position located in Toronto Ontario.
Work Location: On-site
Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly preparation of accruals financial working papers and Property Management Reports submitting to the Property Accounting Manager/VP Finance/VP Property Management for review
- Annual preparation of year end Billing Adjustments and Annual Budgets
- Bank Reconciliations for portfolio as assigned
- Manual Invoicing of Daily/Monthly Chargebacks (tenant service invoices)
- Manual Invoicing for Monthly Quarterly and Semi-Annual Property Taxes where applicable
- Annual Manual invoicing of year-end final billings (assemble appropriate backup and coordinate distribution to tenants with property administrator)
- Provide backup services for property accountants where necessary (including working paper preparation journal entries budgets etc.)
- Update Monthly Banking File
- Assist to Set up Tax PAP work with Property Tax Consultants.
- Work with Investments Leasing Property Management Teams on various reporting and information requests.
- Other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- At least 3 years experience and fully functional in Annual Property Accounting Cycle
- Experience with Property Accounting and Residential and Retail Properties is required.
- University degree in Accounting or related field
- Enrollment in the CPA program is required.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel PowerPoint and Word)
- Ability to meet deadlines prioritize tasks and work well under pressure
- Goal-oriented flexible and adaptable
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity honesty and ethics
Qualifications:
- Model and implement Trinitys standards of excellence; both internal and external
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm
- Superior communication and English language skills oral and written
- Effective listening skills and ability to give and receive constructive feedback and share ideas
- Highly organized with attention to detail

This is a Full-Time position requiring the ability to work 37.5 hours per week. This position may require extended hours during peak periods to perform job duties.
