The Senior Director Product Management Enterprise Shared Services is accountable for the strategic direction governance and delivery of foundational enterprise platforms that underpin nearly every learner member candidate and institutional experience. This role has primary oversight of the modernization and enhancement of the modernization of BERT capabilities to enable the organizations 2030 strategy and Identity & Access Management (IAM) working in close partnership with Information Security.
These platforms are missioncritical enablers of customer experience trust scalability and datadriven personalization. The Senior Director ensures they are treated as durable reusable products with clear roadmaps strong governance and measurable business value. The role partners daily with Technology and Engineering teams and works closely with Security Data & Analytics Digital Experience Education and Institutional/B2B teams to align priorities roadmaps and delivery.
The position may be based in approved jurisdictions in the United States and is eligible for flexible work arrangements.
What Youll Do
Platform Strategy & Roadmaps
Define and own the product vision strategy and multiyear roadmaps for IAM and BERT as foundational enterprise platforms
Ensure platform strategies directly support the organizations 2030 strategy customer experience goals and scalability needs
Identify and champion modernization opportunities that improve security interoperability performance and user experience
Identity & Access Management (IAM)
Provide product leadership for enterprise IAM capabilities including authentication authorization identity lifecycle management and access governance
Partner closely with the Information Security team to ensure IAM solutions meet security risk compliance and privacy requirements while minimizing friction for users
Balance customer experience operational efficiency and security controls across learner member candidate and institutional journeys
BERT Modernization
Lead product oversight of BERT modernization ensuring the platform enables advanced analytics personalization and datadriven decisioning
Align BERT capabilities with Data & Analytics and Technology roadmaps to support enterprise reporting insights and AIenabled use cases
Ensure BERT is positioned as a scalable reusable platform serving multiple lines of business
CrossFunctional Partnership
Partner daily with Technology and Engineering to translate product strategy into executable delivery plans
Work closely with Security Data & Analytics Digital Experience Education and Institutional/B2B teams to align priorities dependencies and sequencing
Serve as a senior liaison between business stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure outcomes meet strategic and operational needs
Product Governance & Performance
Establish clear product goals success metrics and KPIs for IAM and BERT platforms
Define and enforce standards for platform quality reliability security and reuse
Monitor performance adoption and value realization; identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities
Leadership & Team Development
Lead and develop a team of platform product managers and supporting roles
Coach and mentor associates; foster a strong product management discipline and growth mindset
Build a culture of accountability collaboration and customercentric decision making
Financial & Operational Stewardship
Demonstrate fiscal responsibility in managing budgets vendor relationships and resource plans
Ensure efficient use of resources while delivering highquality timely outcomes
What Were Looking For
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
810 years of experience in product management platform product management or enterprise technology domains
Demonstrated experience leading largescale foundational platforms (e.g. IAM data analytics or shared services)
Strong preference for experience in technologyenabled or educationfocused organizations
Experience working in Agile and modern product delivery environments
Proven ability to partner effectively with engineering security and business stakeholders at senior level
Strong strategic thinking and roadmap development skills
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing capabilities
Deep understanding of balancing security compliance and customer experience
Outstanding communication problemsolving and analytical skills
High level of organizational agility and ability to manage complex interdependent priorities
At CFA Institute we are committed to transparency and equity in our hiring compliance with wage transparency laws in many of the jurisdictions in which we recruit we provide the following information regarding compensation for this position: Expected salary range: $140700 - $250000 per year. All salary ranges are subject to adjustment based on experience education and other factors relevant to the position. Additional benefits include eligibility for an annual incentive bonus a 12% employer contribution to a 401(k) or pension plan and a comprehensive medical benefits package.
