Business Systems Director – Private Equity | Boston (hybrid)

A top-tier global alternative investment firm is seeking aBusiness Systems Directorto join itsPrivate Markets Technologyorganization. This is a highly visible role partnering directly with investment finance and operations stakeholders to own and evolve the systems that underpin a global private equity platform.

The role sits at the intersection ofbusiness analysis product ownership and technology delivery with responsibility for translating complex private equity workflows into scalable high-impact technology solutions.

What This Role Owns

• Lead business analysis requirements definition and solution design for systems supporting theprivate equity lifecycle including deal management portfolio monitoring fund operations and reporting
• Act as a senior partner to investment professionals finance and operations teams to align technology capabilities with business priorities
• Own application roadmaps release planning and delivery across internal teams and third-party vendors
• Oversee systems supportingdeal execution fund management accounting and portfolio reporting
• Serve as a subject matter expert on private markets processes data flows and system dependencies
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives including system enhancements integrations and automation opportunities

Ideal Background

• Experience inbusiness systems analysis product ownership or technology delivery experience withinbuy-side / asset management environments
• Direct experience supportingprivate equity growth equity or private marketsbusinesses
• Strong understanding of theend-to-end private equity lifecycleacross funds strategies and geographies
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex initiatives in parallel while engaging senior stakeholders
• Experience working inAgile / Scrumdelivery environments

Technical & Systems Experience

• Strong analytical and data skills; experience withSQL Excel and at least one ofPython or BI / reporting tools
• Exposure to private equity platforms such asInvestran(or equivalent) preferred
• Exposure to portfolio data and reporting tools such asChronograph(or equivalent) preferred
• Experience evaluating or implementingAI-enabled solutionsto enhance business processes is a plus

Compensation & Structure

• Base Salary (DOE) Annual Bonus:30%
• Profit Sharing:meaningful percentage of total W-2 compensation
