Manager - Global Agency Network (Supplier Relations)
Location: Mumbai / Gurugram
Type: Full-Time Strategic Partnerships Supply & Network
Experience: 4-7 Years (Strictly in Freight Forwarding)
What You Will Do:
- Network Expansion (Hunting): Identify vet and onboard reliable freight
forwarding agents in key trade lanes where Cogoport needs coverage. You will
negotiate agency agreements profit shares and credit terms.
- Strategic Procurement (Supply): Source competitive local charges air freight
rates and DDP/DAP solutions from agents to support our Indian sales teams.
You ensure our sales team has the rates they need to win.
- Nomination Revenue Generation: This is not just a buying role. You must
actively pitch Cogoports capabilities to overseas agents to secure Nomination
Business (FOB Imports into India/Exports from India) controlled by them.
- Operational Bridge: In countries without a Cogoport office you are the
operations lead. You will coordinate with agents to ensure documents are filed
cargo is cleared and delivery is made. You are the escalation point for any
issues in the agency network.
- Timezone Management: Global trade doesnt sleep. You must be willing to work
flexible hours to connect with partners in the Americas (late evening) or APAC
(early morning) to keep shipments moving.
