The GB Systems Access & Entitlements team within Business Operations focuses on the risks governance provisioning and monitoring of systems accessaligning to firm-wide privilege and segregationofduties standards.
As a Business Operations Associate in the GB Systems Access & Entitlements team you will partner closely with Sales Product and Technology to streamline access workflows reduce excess access and strengthen audit readiness without adding operational friction. This is a hands-on buildandshape opportunity to modernize how access and entitlements are designed and managed across Global Banking (Commercial Banking Global Corporate Banking and Global Investment Banking). Your responsibilities will include closing longstanding gaps creating durable efficiencies and improving our control posture in a collaborative peoplefirst environment.
Job responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for user alignment and system entitlements across Global Banking front office and Business Operations.
- Review and approve nonautomated entitlement requests from frontoffice managers reducing administrative burden while enforcing leastprivilege standards.
- Translate RBAC concepts into clear businessfriendly language; align stakeholders on role definitions standards and change adoption.
- Define and evolve role criteria (RBAC and where appropriate ABAC) establish segregationofduties guardrails and remediate overprovisioning and gaps.
- Execute adhoc and scheduled recertifications; monitor dashboards and reports for inappropriate access; document business justification for exceptions and close remediation within SLAs.
- Plan coverage for transfers backfills and org changes to prevent access gaps and ensure continuity.
- Own weekly transfers user alignment and application updates; prioritize effectively in a fastmoving environment.
- Analyze highvolume access data and exception trends; build metrics and reporting (e.g. timetoaccess exception rates remediation aging) using tools such as Excel and Alteryx.
- Partner with Sales Product Technology and RBAC advisory teams to streamline provisioning workflows and automate repetitive tasks with standardized playbooks.
- Prepare auditready documentation and evidence; support internal/external reviews and drive continuous improvements that enhance efficiency and resilience.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Seasonedin identity and access management controls/risk operations and adjacent banking/technology roles.
- Comprehensiveknowledge of Role Based Access Controls (RBAC) least privilege segregation of duties and the provisioning/recertification lifecycle.
- Strongstakeholder and communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into simple effective processes and controls.
- Fluentwith data including advanced Excel (pivot tables lookups).
- Provenproblem-solving and analytical skills able to derive insights from large datasets and drive action.
- Highattention to detail with a bias for swift accurate execution; comfortable managing multiple priorities and adapting to change.
- Audit-readymindset and ability to create documentation with clear concise writing and organization.
- Curiousand ownership-driven approach with a collaborative positive attitude and team spirit.
