Pool Lifeguard

The Canoe Brook Country Club is looking to hire high school and college age workers to work part time at the front desk or as a lifeguard for the 2026 season.

The pool season runs from May23rd through September 6th (a full commitment is required).

Lifeguard (Part Time)

CBCC Lifeguards will maintain safe swimming conditions in the pool on the pool deck and surrounding areas. Creates a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals and promotes safety in accordance with the Canoe Brook Country Club policies and procedures. Builds positive relationships with members through effective listening and verbal skills and creatively finds ways to connect them to one another and the Canoe Brook community.

Must be at least 16 years old to apply

Must be available nights and weekends for the duration of the pool season regardless of outside commitments.

Possesses current Lifeguard Certification.

Maintains active surveillance of the pool area.

Must have their own breathing barrier

Knows and reviews all emergency procedures and responds to emergency situations immediately in accordance with Canoe Brook policies and procedures.

Knows understands and consistently applies safety rules policies and guidelines for the pool and facility.

Must be confident and vocal on/off the lifeguard stand.

Performs safety checks and ensures appropriate equipment is available as needed.

Check the pool for hazardous conditions when arriving.

Attends all staff meetings and in-service training.

Performs other duties as assigned.
