Job Summary
Job Title: Float Pool RN Medical Surgical
Location: Gainesville FL 32614
Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
Shift Options:
- Days: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM (Rotating weekends)
- Nights: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM (Rotating weekends)
Employment Type: Full-Time / Direct Hire
Important Notes:
- Candidates must reside within a commutable distance (less than 60 minutes)
- Must be comfortable with a 7:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Flexibility to float across multiple units is required
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to join a collaborative healthcare team. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple medical-surgical units delivering high-quality patient care while adapting to various clinical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a patient and family advocate ensuring privacy and confidentiality
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and clinical evaluations
- Develop and implement patient care plans focused on quality outcomes
- Provide care across multiple units as part of the float pool team
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care Med-Surg RN experience
- Must be currently working in a Med-Surg setting
- Active Florida RN license or multistate compact license
- Compact license holders must obtain Florida licensure within 60 days of relocation
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- BLS certification required within 30 days of start date
- Ability to float across multiple units
- Completion of required background screening and fingerprinting
