A Sales Officer for a paint manufacturerdrives revenue by managing dealer networks building contractor/influencer relationships achieving sales targets and ensuring product availability involving market analysis strategy implementation (like painter meets) and coordination with internal teams for logistics and customer issue resolution requiring strong negotiation communication and CRM skills often with prior paint/coatings sales experience.
- Sales & Target Achievement: Meet monthly/quarterly sales goals for assigned territories.
- Dealer/Distributor Management: Appoint manage train and support distributors retailers and key accounts.
- Influencer & Contractor Relations: Build strong ties with painters contractors architects and builders to drive secondary sales.
- Market Development: Identify new business opportunities expand market reach and potentially target PSUs/government clients.
- Product & Promotion: Implement sales promotions organize dealer/painter meets and ensure product visibility/availability.
- Customer Service: Address dealer/customer complaints and issues promptly.
- Reporting & Coordination: Generate sales reports forecast sales and liaise with production logistics and other departments.
- Experience: Prior sales experience preferably in the paint or coatings industry.
- Skills: Excellent communication negotiation relationship-building analytical and presentation skills.
- Technical: Proficiency with MS Office and CRM software (like Salesforce).
- Education: Often an MBA or relevant degree.
- Attributes: Target-driven self-motivated customer-oriented.
- Meeting clients contractors and dealers daily.
- Conducting product demonstrations and training sessions.
- Exploring new dealer counters and expanding territory value.
- Ensuring smooth supply chain and logistics.
