SUMMARY
The Front Desk Assistant is the initial point of contact for many visitors people served stakeholders and employees of PDI and is responsible for many diverse tasks that contribute to PDIs smooth operation. The Front Desk Assistant must have a friendly engaging personality and take the initiative to gain knowledge of PDI events programs and position will be responsible for various tasks and projects. Customer-oriented and service-driven. Must focus on client needs and be passionate about exceptional service.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL PDI POSITIONS
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associates Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE ABILITY
Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICS ABILITY
Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully an employee must know Microsoft Office and Microsoft Publisher software Microsoft Outlook and be able to gain knowledge of various vendor software solutions.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a non-exempt position. Expected hours of work are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. A 30-minute unpaid meal period is required daily. Hours may vary on days with events or issues and you will need to be flexible with hours at a moments notice.

The Front Desk Attendant must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands handle or feel speak and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop kneel crouch or crawl.

There may be a little business travel required as part of this job.
