Superintendent(s)JOB MISSION:The Longmeadow Public Schools is seeking an outstanding educator to develop and oversee an extended day and extended year enrichment and acceleration programs for students in grades K-12. Candidates must be able to apply strong interpersonal and communication skills and have an understanding of deeper learning. Candidates must also be passionate about equity and diversity in our schools. The overarching goals of this position are:- To develop and oversee after-school and summer enrichment opportunities for students in grades K-12.- To develop and oversee academic programs and opportunities to address academic gaps.- To develop and oversee a credit recovery program for high school RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Establish and coordinate all enrichment and academic programs.2. Establish a list of eligible students for summer services including grade level present school parent name telephone number emergency information and specific program and service needed.3. Oversee approved vendor-sponsored enrichment programs.4. Establish program and placement services and notify eligible students and their parents of location start-end dates and and schedule program offerings with district and school administration to ensure that programs align with district curriculum and community train and select staff including teachers and paraprofessionals to provide quality programs and summer services.7. Collaboration with local colleges and universities to develop partnerships for program that all program providers comply with districts policies and rules. Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed and approved prior to scheduled summer services collect workbooks work samples and a list of areas needing review and reinforcement from each students classroom teacher.10. Complete teaching assignments assign rooms finalize service times and assign para-professionals.11. Establish a registration system and appropriate tuition/fee for enrichment programs. All fees are to be approved by the Superintendent or their and order supplies needed to provide quality summer services. processing of purchase orders materials fees collection and tuition/fee payments to the Treasurer of the Town of Longmeadow.14. Establish a detailed account system and present preliminary budgets for approval to the Superintendent or their designee prior to scheduled programming.15. Establish and administer a survey of participants and parents for the purpose of continual a detailed financial report for the programs to the Superintendent including financial statement enrollment statistics survey results a thorough analysis of the data and recommendations concerning the next summer session. Present reports to the School Committee as scheduled by the academic services Collect and record attendance data. Facilitate the completion of student progress reports and distribute completed reports to parents.19.
