The Armed Forces Recruiting Service (AFRS) will see MOD Serco and their consortium of partners providing a Tri-Service recruiting solution which for the RN will commence on 1 Apr 27. AFRS will provide end to end support from candidate attraction to assessment to preparing to join Phase 1 training. The solution will utilise Service Personnel in high value candidate facing roles in the Command and Support Unit and in recruitment selection Under-Represented Groups outreach and the national career centre.
Unit and Position Role
Unit Function - Deliver Armed Forces Recruitment to maximise optimal inflow of workforce to support delivery of Defence strategic and operational capabilities.
Position Role - Supporting theeffective delivery oftSOfficerAssessments andassessment centre logistics and administration.
Responsibilities
- Provision of DoC / pastoral care and welfare support to Candidates and U18s in accordance with the HoE Supervisory Care Directive.
- Oversight of out of hours candidate Duty of Care and safeguarding duties.
- Support candidate reception assessment movement and departures.
- Support assessors with the production and administration of Officer assessment activities and materials.
- Provide resources required to enable physical assessments and leadership competency assessments. Ensuring Health and Safety compliance.
- Support uniformed staff mandatory training and physical assessments. Supporting the delivery of internal military training packages. (Trauma Risk Management Coordination).
- Share personal lived experience of life in the Armed Forces to engage and inform candidates.
- Provide Military advice to team SERCO site manager.
