Project Manager - Tech Upgrade/Migration (Factory Model)
Role Summary
We are seeking a hands on outcomes driven Project Manager to lead a high scale technology migration delivered via a repeatable factory model across 50 product groups and 500 application systems. The role demands expert multi party stakeholder management (Architecture Security Application Product teams and Factory) meticulous dependency orchestration (intake requirements access environment readiness higher environment testing and deployments) and relentless communication.
You will own the end to end plan (by Program Increment (PI) and sprint) govern dependencies and handshakes at each stage drive risks/issues/escalations to closure and keep leadership informed with timely accurate dashboards and metrics. Youll collaborate closely with the Program Manager adapt swiftly to re prioritization and ensure process adherence across a high velocity repeatable delivery pipeline.

What Youll Do
Planning & Governance
Build and maintain an end to end plan by PI and sprint covering discovery intake design reviews security gates build/test higher environment testing (UAT/Performance) deployment for each application/product wave.
Establish and run wave planning for the factory (sequencing capacity alignment entry/exit criteria batching similar patterns for efficiency).
Define and enforce stage handshakes and entry/exit criteria among Architecture Security Application Product teams and Factory across each wave.
Maintain a RAID (Risks Assumptions Issues Dependencies) log; drive mitigation/ contingency plans; expedite escalations.

Multi Party Stakeholder Management
Orchestrate daily coordination across Architecture Security Application Product stakeholders and Factory delivery teams.
Align technical decisions and governance outcomes with Architecture and Security
Proactively manage access provisioning environment availability change windows and release management handshakes.
Delivery Execution (Agile/Kanban)
Run Scrum and/or Kanban as appropriate: backlog readiness sprint planning daily stand ups reviews/demos and retrospectives.
Enable the Factory with repeatable playbooks and templates; reduce cycle time by eliminating systemic blockers.
Coordinate higher environment validation (UAT/PERF) and oversee deployment runbooks cutover war rooms
Dependencies Testing & Release Readiness
Own cross team dependencies: identity/access provisioning test data management environment readiness code freezes release calendars and external integrations.
Ensure test strategy coverage (functional/non-functional) defect triage and defect leakage control across environments.
Reporting & Communications
Produce clear accurate status and leadership dashboards (trend lines burndown/burnup throughput change success rate risk aging).
Lead daily/weekly exec updates risk reviews and dependency stand ups; communicate fast frequently and unambiguously.
Maintain an agreed communications plan (cadence channels audience) and RACI for all stakeholders.
Process Quality & Continuous Improvement
Define publish and enforce processes and templates (intake design review security sign offs deployment checklists).
Track adherence and drive continuous improvement (retrospectives root cause analysis playbook updates).

Required Qualifications
8 12 years of project management in enterprise technology initiatives including multi application migrations/upgrades.
Proven success managing scenarios similar to 50 product lines / 500 applications with high stakeholder complexity.
Strong technical acumen in Java/J2EE ecosystems (frameworks runtime upgrades dependency management application servers API gateways)-able to engage architects and engineering leads credibly.
Hands on experience with Agile (Scrum) and Kanban; comfortable operating hybrid models aligned to delivery realities.
Demonstrated excellence in dependency management access/environment orchestration and release management across multiple teams.
Advanced communication conflict resolution and executive stakeholder management; calm under pressure in war room scenarios.
Data driven reporting and dashboarding; strong command of metrics and what they signal for corrective action.
Preferred Qualifications
PMP or PRINCE2 SAFe (SPC RTE or SAFe PM/PO) CSM/PSM ITIL certifications.
Background in large scale technology migration factories or repeatable modernization patterns (e.g. JDK uplift framework upgrade containerization).
