We seek a highly analytical and strategic Product Development Quality Strategy & Business Office Supervisor to serve as a strategic thought leader and operational expert within the PD Quality Organization. This pivotal role is responsible for translating PD Qualitys overarching business objectives into clear actionable strategies measurable metrics and efficient operating rhythms. The goal is to ensure seamless execution optimize operational efficiency and maintain strong alignment across critical interfaces particularly with the engineering team. The ideal candidate blends business acumen analytical insight and operational excellence driving initiatives to enhance organizational performance optimize resource allocation and deliver strategic priorities. Success requires navigating ambiguous assumptions to forge effective paths forward.



Responsibilities

What youll do...

  1. Strategic Planning & Execution:
    • Partner with leadership to define execute and communicate the annual business strategy and operational plan including strategic project plans.
    • Facilitate strategic reviews ensuring clear priorities measurable outcomes and alignment across Quality sub-functions.
    • Develop frameworks and tools for tracking progress against business objectives Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and critical deliverables.
  2. Business Operations & Governance:
    • Manage PD Quality headcount planning and tracking collaborating with Finance and Human Resources.
    • Design and manage efficient business rhythms including staff meetings quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and executive readouts for the Quality team.
    • Provide leadership with pertinent insights dynamic dashboards and essential materials for data-informed decision-making.
  3. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Improvement Initiatives:
    • Collaborate with Quality and Engineering teams to develop track and drive key improvement initiatives ensuring alignment and effective interdependency management.
    • Lead or support cross-functional initiatives enhancing product development efficiency and innovation within the Quality domain.
  4. Change Management & Communication:
    • Translate complex technical or strategic initiatives into clear compelling narratives for executive updates and broad internal/external communications.
    • Support PD Quality change initiatives ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and adoption.
    • Develop and maintain high-quality communication materials briefings and reports for senior leadership.


Qualifications

Youll have...

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Business or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in business operations program management strategy or related roles within product development manufacturing or technology environments.
  • Proven experience working closely with engineering teams or an engineering degree demonstrating an understanding of product development processes.
  • Excellent organization and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously and drive for results.
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to glean insights from complex data and navigate ambiguity to forge effective paths forward.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with proven experience in preparing and delivering impactful materials for senior executives.
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority and drive alignment across diverse cross-functional teams.

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or an advanced degree in a related field.
  • Experience with strategic planning frameworks and operational excellence methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma).
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems and processes.
