The primary purpose of the position is: The incumbent performs the administrative and personnel management functions on assigned staff; provides formal and informal feedback and evaluates staff performance and completes focused and ongoing practice evaluations on assigned staff. Supervises staff that have various tours to include evenings and weekend. The Social Work Supervisor provides direct supervision of subordinates and directs the work of staff.

The Supervisory Social Worker provides supervision to a group of employees performing work at various GS levels up to their own grade and provides administrative technical and clinical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the program and service. Incumbent may maintain a clinical practice caseload depending on workload in the assigned area.
Work Schedule: 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday

Basic Requirements:
Must have a masters degree in social work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Graduates of schools of social work that are in candidacy status do not meet this requirement until the School of Social Work is fully accredited. A doctoral degree in social work may not be substituted for the masters degree in social work. Verification of the degree can be made by going to to verify that the social work degree meets the accreditation standards for a masters of social work
