Hours/Time/Calendar/Pay: MEA Master Agreement Calendar
Effective: March 2 2026
Qualifications:
- Master of Social Work Degree
- MDE school certification and/or eligibility for school certification
- CPI certification or ability to obtain certification without restrictions
- Must have knowledge of the IEP process and familiarity with Michigan rules and regulations for Special Education
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Must have the ability to write clear concise reports based on observation
- Knowledge of Special Education Certifications
- Ability to develop and implement measurable IEP goals and objectives
- Regular and consistent attendance
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative services to General and Special Education students
- Establish and maintain appropriate records and reports
- Adhere to district policies and confidentiality
- Assist and develop positive behavioral intervention strategies
- Serve as an active member of district and school crisis teams
- Collaborate with parents staff school administrators and community agencies
- Provide consultation collaboration and advisement services to students their family members and school staff regarding the students social emotional and behavioral status
- Other duties as assigned
