You will serve as a UTILITIES SYSTEMS OPERATOR in the PUBLIC WORKS BUSINESS LINE (PWBL) of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.
The WG-11 has a Selective Placement factor (Screen-Out). Applicants must possess a Water Treatment (T1) license from the state of California or an equivalent license eligible for reciprocity Water Distribution (D2) license from the state of California or an equivalent license eligible for reciprocity Grade 2 Wastewater Treatment Operators license from the state of California or an equivalent license eligible for reciprocity and a Drivers License. NOTE: You MUST submit copies with your application package or you will be rated ineligible.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience not necessarily the length of time.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to do the work of a Utilities Systems Operator without more than normal supervision performing duties such as: 1) Disassembling repairing and rebuilding component parts of plant machinery and equipment to ensure proper operation the mechanisms; 2) Reading and interpreting blueprints sketches drawings oral and written instructions; and 3) Using measuring and test equipment(e.g. micrometers flowmeter fluid precision levels) to ensure proper treatment of waste water.
