Scope of Project

The Maryland Health Benefit Exchange (MHBE) administers Maryland Health Connection the State s health insurance marketplace. MHBE seeks Senior Systems Analysts to support Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) operations including transaction analysis validation error resolution and data reconciliation for healthcare marketplace systems supporting Medicaid MCHP and Qualified Health Plans.

Responsibilities:

Provide EDI data analysis transactional support error detection and resolution
Perform Medicaid 8001 transaction file analysis and validation
Review and resolve data issues including MDM MPI and related data discrepancies
Perform HBX system error analysis
Validate and reconcile 1095-A and 1095-B files
Analyze EDI files exchanged with Carriers MCOs and external entities
Perform root cause analysis for EDI rejections and exceptions (999 TA1)
Coordinate with development business and testing teams to analyze fix test and transmit EDI files
Perform data corrections and technical solutions for consumer and system-reported errors
Communicate with IT teams vendors and stakeholders to translate business needs into EDI solutions
Support EDI operations during off-hours weekends and holidays as required

Required Skills:

Health Exchange marketplace EDI solutions 4 Years
EDI X12 file creation (834 999 TA1) 4 Years
Review and interpretation of EDI companion and implementation guides 4 Years
Healthcare marketplace data analysis testing and solutions 4 Years
SQL databases and queries 2 Years
Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines

Preferred Skills:

EDI validation tools (Edifecs WTX EDI X12 or equivalent) 6 Years
EDI transaction sets (TA1) SOA EDI or EAI applications 6 Years
Complex SQL scripting 2 Years
Knowledge of ACA eligibility rules for Medicaid and QHPs
Medicaid 8001 file processing or inter-agency transactional file processing
Deep understanding of EDI 834 enrollment transactions and error processing
