What awaits you/ Job Profile

As a Senior SAP Technical Platform Manager you will be responsible for the end-to-end technical management of the SAP platform ensuring its stability performance and scalability to meet business needs. Your role will focus on overseeing Technical Lifecycle Management (TLM) optimizing performance and data volume and implementing proactive monitoring strategies. You will lead initiatives to maintain a robust SAP technical environment that supports the organizations digital transformation and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Lifecycle Management (TLM): Plan coordinate and execute SAP platform lifecycle activities including installations upgrades patches and decommissioning to ensure platform stability and compliance with enterprise standards.
• Performance and Data Volume Management: Monitor analyze and optimize SAP system performance and manage data growth effectively to maintain high system responsiveness and scalability.
• Proactive Monitoring: Design and implement advanced monitoring solutions to ensure continuous system health early detection of technical issues and prompt resolution to minimize business impact.
• Collaborate closely with SAP Basis development and infrastructure teams to align technical platform strategies with business objectives.
• Lead root cause analysis and performance tuning efforts to resolve complex technical problems.
• Develop and maintain documentation standards and best practices for SAP technical platform management.
• Mentor and guide junior team members to build technical expertise within the team.
• Stay updated with SAP technology trends tools and best practices to recommend and implement continuous improvements.
• Support audit and compliance activities related to SAP platform operations.

What should you bring along

• Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field.
• Extensive experience (typically 04 to 06 years) in SAP technical platform management including SAP Basis administration.
• Strong expertise in Technical Lifecycle Management (TLM) of SAP systems.
• Proven experience in SAP performance tuning and data volume management.
• Hands-on experience with SAP monitoring tools and platforms such as SAP Solution Manager Focused Run or third-party monitoring solutions.
• Solid understanding of SAP architecture databases and operating systems.
• Excellent problem-solving analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience working in agile and collaborative team environments.

Must have technical skill

• Expertise in SAP Technical Lifecycle Management (TLM): Proven experience in planning executing and managing SAP system installations upgrades patches and decommissioning activities.
• Strong Skills in Performance and Data Volume Management: Ability to monitor analyze and optimize SAP system performance and efficiently manage data growth to ensure system stability and scalability.
• Proficiency with SAP Monitoring Tools: Hands-on experience with SAP monitoring solutions such as SAP Solution Manager Focused Run or equivalent third-party tools for continuous system health monitoring and issue resolution.

Good to have technical skills

1. Knowledge of SAP HANA Administration: Experience with SAP HANA database management and optimization.
2. Familiarity with Cloud and Hybrid SAP Deployments: Understanding of SAP platform management in cloud environments (e.g. SAP Cloud Platform AWS Azure) and hybrid landscapes.
3. Experience with Automation and Scripting: Skills in scripting languages (e.g. Bash PowerShell Python) to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
4. Understanding of SAP Security and Compliance: Basic knowledge of SAP security implications related to platform management and compliance requirements.
5. Experience with ITIL and Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (ITIL) and agile project management practices to enhance delivery and support processes.
