Your role and responsibilities:

Responsible for identification exploration and implementation of R&D engineering and technology/product development and growth strategies within the global NEMA Motors Division to enhance and secure ABBs global position and profitability in the medium/long term. Ensure project execution foster innovation and develop and secure research and development (R&D) capabilities.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Set and Lead R&D Strategy & Technology Direction: Define and execute the Divisions R&D strategy technology roadmap innovation pipeline and KPIs while ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
• Drive Project Excellence & Operational Execution: Oversee delivery of R&D and engineering projects on time and on budget ensuring adherence to processes standards governance and IP/risk management requirements.
• Strengthen CrossFunctional & External Collaboration: Align R&D with Product Management support knowledge transfer and represent the technology function with customers partners universities and industry bodies.
• Develop People & Manage Resources: Lead organizational capability talent development and team performance while managing R&D budgets resources and overall operational effectiveness.

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering with minimum 15 years experience working in a manufacturing environment with recent engineering leadership responsibilities.
• Global leadership and financial acumen with experience managing multicountry teams and navigating complex customorder product environments.
• Strategic analytical and resultsdriven demonstrating strong problemsolving organizational skills and a proven ability to execute key strategic initiatives.
• Exceptional communicator and relationshipbuilder with the ability to lead and influence seniorlevel teams and effectively understand markets customers and competitive dynamics.
• Preferred Experience Includes: Motor Knowledge / SAP / IoT / SAP / Workday / Lean Six Sigma Certifications / PMP Certification / M&A / NEMA Specifications knowledge / Experience Streamlining Processes and implementing Process Improvements.
• Willingness to travel: up to 35%
• Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
