General objective of the role:
The technical lead is a highly senior and hands-on system administrator responsible for driving the technical strategy operational excellence and continuous improvement of our servers and vulnerabilities patching team. This role requires an expert-level operational background to mentor senior system administrators manage complex technical projects and ensure the highest standards of system security reliability and performance across our global platforms. The technical lead acts as the principal point of contact for the team based in India and aligns with other technical leads based in Quebec Canada.
Primary functions:
Design plan and oversee the end-to-end execution of critical operational processes such as large-scale Windows server patching and vulnerability mitigation programs;
Coordinate with infrastructure application and security teams to schedule test and deploy patches with minimal business disruption.
Define and standardize the use of tools like Vulnerability Manager Plus to identify prioritize and mitigate critical vulnerabilities across servers;
Be the primary point of contact for requests related to systems managed by the team;
Proactively identify inefficiencies in existing processes and implement improvements.
Establish documentation standards for all procedures and resolutions;
Reporting and metrics
Manages incidents to ensure rapid resolution and user communication.
Secondary functions:
Upon need take up tasks for which he has the knowledge and capacity to maintain production operations.
Mobility: Occasional when needed.
Qualifications :
Bachelor of computer applications or equivalent
8 years of experience in Information Technology with at least 2-3 years in a technical leadership or senior/mentoring role.
Familiarity with vulnerability management platforms
Advanced level of English speaking and writing
Practical knowledge of IT Infrastructure components
Knowledge of the ITIL methodology
Preferences (nice to have):
Knowledge of the manufacturing sector
Knowledge of the Atlassian suite (Jira).
Any certification related to computer sciences
