Position Summary:

Gathers and analyzes samples to ensure compliance with local and federal guidelines for waste treatment facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Current State of Maine Grade II (or higher) Biological Treatment Certification
• Satisfactory evidence of at least four years experience in a wastewater treatment plant. Education may be substituted for no more than three years of experience
• Must have or be able to attain within 3 months a valid State of Maine Class B Commercial Drivers license
• Ability to obtain McCain Forklift Certification Scissor Lift Certification Boom Lift (Genie) Certification and Confined Space Certification
• Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

Physical Demand:

Constant: Stand; walk and reach with hands and arms.

Frequently:. Use hands to finger handle or feel; stoop kneel crouch or crawl and talk or hear. Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Occasionally: Sit climb or balance taste and smell.
