Tekberry is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Arbitrator I to support vehicle arbitration operations for our client a leader in automotive marketplaces and auction services. This role is responsible for resolving post-sale vehicle disputes between buyers and sellers by reviewing complaints inspecting vehicles and facilitating fair and timely resolutions in accordance with auction policies.
The Arbitrator plays a critical role in maintaining customer satisfaction ensuring compliance with National Arbitration policies and supporting auction operations through accurate documentation and effective negotiation.

Key Responsibilities Arbitration & Dispute Resolution
Review customer complaints and mechanic reports regarding vehicle condition
Inspect vehicles to determine extent of issues and necessary repairs
Facilitate arbitration between buyers and sellers to reach resolution
Negotiate pricing adjustments repairs or settlements to retain vehicle sales
Resolve post-sale issues such as title discrepancies mileage concerns and damage claims
Customer Communication & Policy Guidance
Educate customers on auction policies and arbitration processes
Provide clear guidance on complaint resolution timelines and outcomes
Support customer satisfaction through effective communication and conflict resolution
Case Management & Documentation
Maintain accurate records and files for each arbitration case
Document findings decisions and supporting information
Input and track arbitration cases and post-sale inspections
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with sales mechanics and operations teams during investigations
Coordinate with internal departments to resolve disputes efficiently
Liaise with federal and state authorities when required (e.g. odometer or salvage issues)
Operational Support & Compliance
Ensure compliance with National Auto Auction Association (NAAA) policies
Promote auction services and post-sale inspection offerings
Follow all safety procedures and workplace standards
Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent
3 5 years of automotive experience (mechanical body shop dealership or auction environment preferred)
Experience handling customer complaints inspections or dispute resolution
Strong communication negotiation and organizational skills
Ability to document findings clearly and accurately
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of vehicle arbitration processes or auction operations
Understanding of federal/state vehicle regulations (title mileage salvage)
Experience with report writing and case documentation
Work Environment This is a hybrid role supporting auction operations requiring both office and onsite vehicle inspection work. Initial training may require full onsite attendance before transitioning to hybrid.
