About this role
Our Risk Consulting practice is a growing national business responsible for delivering independent risk services to our clients. The teams overarching purpose is to help our clients to navigate complex risks and change management issues in a dynamic business environment.
We are seeking an Internal Audit professional who is passionate about working in a diverse range of sectors. You must have a strong technical foundation with knowledge of internal audit risk standards risk and controls practice and the regulatory environment.
Key responsibilities
Deliver end-to-end client internal audit and risk consulting engagements (with oversight and guidance from a manager).
Understand clients risk and control environments applying internal audit standards and methodologies to plan perform and conclude internal audit engagements.
Identify evaluate and report on control design and operating effectiveness including identifying control gaps and compliance issues in relation to legislative regulatory and internal policy requirements.
Work with managers to develop high quality reports and engagement deliverables.
Apply professional judgement analysis and critical thinking to assess audit findings determine root causes and develop practical risk-focused internal audit recommendations.
Present internal audit findings risk assessments and control recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders Risk and manage clients interactions throughout the audit lifecycle.
Skills & experience
Previous accounting experience ideally with a minimum of 2 years of experience in business risk business process review or internal audit experience.
Bachelors degree (preferably in Business/Management/Accounting major).
Excellent teamwork skills with experience in managing and developing junior staff.
Sound understanding on control documentation and assessment.
Strong communication interpersonal skills and a client-centric attitude.
The salary range for this role is $90000 to $105000 per annum inclusive of superannuation.
