Are you passionate about mentoring the next generation of nail artists Highland Community College is seeking an Illinois-licensed Nail Tech Instructor. This is a part-time position scheduled for 28 hours per week. The scheduled days and hours are Monday Wednesday and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach state-mandated subjects including nail anatomy sterilization OSHA standards and advanced techniques like acrylics and light-cured gels.
- Prepare students specifically for the Illinois State Board examinations.
- Oversee students performing services on the public to ensure safety and sanitation compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of student hours grades and attendance.
What Were Looking for:
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must hold a current Illinois Nail Technology Teacher or Cosmetology Teacher license.
- Must have 2 years of full-time experience as a practicing nail technician within the last 5 years.
- Completed one-time approved course on abnormal skin growth education including training on identifying melanoma.
