Print Technician (Journeyman)
FedTec is seeking a Print Technician (Journeyman) to support print services operations. This role is responsible for maintaining troubleshooting and optimizing Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) print devices to ensure reliable performance and compliance with contract requirements. The technician will manage service requests through ServiceNow perform routine maintenance and repairs support equipment installations and relocations and ensure all activities align with contract-defined Acceptable Quality Levels (AQLs). This position requires strong technical expertise attention to detail and the ability to provide timely support while maintaining accurate documentation and reporting.

Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance or above
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform daily service and maintenance of print devices according to work plans; manage travel schedule efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and restore full functionality of supported print devices under contract.
- Monitor and respond promptly to service requests via the ServiceNow ticketing system.
- Deliver and install consumables (e.g. fusers drums toner waste toner) and other replaceable parts.
- Relocate and configure printers MFDs and copiers within facilities.
- Conduct site visits to obtain IP addresses meter readings or assist with network mapping.
- Install local software as needed for automated data collection.
- Record manual meter readings for devices not remotely managed during service interactions.
- Provide end-user training as required.
- Prioritize and resolve assigned tickets in compliance with contract performance standards (AQL per PWS).
- Update ticket summaries in the prescribed format for effective tracking and management.
- Ensure compliance with DoD standards and contract requirements.
- Document all service and installation activities through accurate forms reports and logs.
- Maintain current knowledge through training certifications and professional development.
- Reposition or remove equipment when workspace limitations prevent proper placement.
- Stay informed on SLAs procedures and device specifications.
- Experience and skillset with Canon imageFORCE and/or imageRUNNER devices is required.
- Perform additional contract-related tasks as directed by the Program Manager.
Basic Qualifications Required Education Certifications Skills and Experience
- Active Secret clearance or above.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of print device theory and functionality.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills for multi-functional devices and related network infrastructure (e.g. scan-to-email).
- Manufacturer certifications for multi-functional devices preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication.
- Experience with ServiceNow ticketing system.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).
