Job Summary

Title - Pharmacy Technician

Duration - 6 months

Shift - 9:00-5:30pm CST

Location - Houston TX 77043

PR: $22/Hr. to $24/Hr.

Typical Day in the Role

90% Outbound Calls 10% Inbound Calls

Data Entry

Calling Doctors Office
Work under direct supervision of a pharmacist
Locate correct medication and strength to complete picking of order.
Prepare count label and package pharmaceuticals for Pharmacist approval
Purchase receive and coordinate inventory
Maintain and update inventory recap report
Retrieve discontinued or expired medications from stock; discard or return to stock as appropriate; complete corresponding documentation
Maintain prescription logs

Education/Certification Required: high school diploma

Licensure Required: State pharmacy technician license

Years of experience required: at least 2-3 consistent years as a pharmacy Technician. Hospital retail specialty pharmacy is preferred. No Gaps

Nice to haves: Data Entry 80 Calls daily experience. Specialty or IVIG experience is a plus

Disqualifiers: Candidates with Retail Experience only
