We are working with a critical service provider for the community in their search for an experienced mental health professional to join their Clinical Information Management team as an APS6 Senior Information Services Officer (Clinical). This role plays a key part in supporting clinical governance and quality improvement through the monitoring analysis and delivery of high-quality Clinical Incident Reviews.
Reporting to the Assistant Director Clinical Incident Reviews you will bring strong clinical judgement attention to detail and exceptional writing skills to manage complex and sensitive information in a supportive no-blame environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare high-quality Clinical Incident Reviews reports and responses in line with legislation policy and timeframes
Analyse clinical information to identify contributing factors to client distress including suicide-related risk
Manage and review sensitive client data across multiple systems with a high level of accuracy
Support the coordination of the Clinical Panel and Clinical Incident Review meetings
Contribute to continuous quality improvement policy advice and clinical governance activities
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams external stakeholders and service providers
About You
You are a clinically trained professional with experience working in mental health settings and managing risk. You bring sound judgement emotional intelligence and integrity to your work and are comfortable working autonomously on complex matters while contributing positively to a team environment.
Experience in clinical incident reviews and/or APS governance roles will be highly regarded.
Mandatory Requirements
Applicants must meet one or more of the following:
AHPRA-registered Psychologist Mental Health Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Registered Nurse (full registration) or
Social Worker eligible for AASW membership and Mental Health accreditation or
Counsellor or Nurse with a minimum of three years mental health experience or
A minimum of five years experience working in mental health settings
