The role
Our Brisbane office is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. Were looking for someone with strong technical capability particularly with experience in temporary works and Borehole Deformation Gauge this role youll have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of projects including land development renewables transport and water infrastructure mining high-rise developments and disaster recovery initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with the technical team to develop provide and promote design solutions options and initiatives to meet client needs
- Able to provide mentorship to junior staff including reviewing their work.
- Ability to manage financial and program compliance project outcomes
- Support and progress all aspects of project delivery
- Undertake technical and non-technical tasks and take responsibility for the accuracy and quality of our work
- Ensure that the projects are completed on time within budget and to the desired quality standards
- Maintaining good relationships with existing clients and working with the client relations/business development team to target new opportunities
What were looking for
- Qualified Geotechnical/Civil Engineer or Engineering Geologist with 5 years of experience working in a geotechnical consulting environment.
- Chartered/RPEQ status or on the pathway to obtaining
- Experience working in a geotechnical consultancy in Australia
- Good analytical skills and prior knowledge of geotechnical design software will be viewed favourably (Plaxis Rocscience Slide RSPile Settle3 LimitState Geo etc.)
- Have proven experience when it comes to design delivery of complex projects
- Exceptional organisation and communication skills both verbal and written
- A high standard of accuracy and attention to detail is a must
- Current Australian drivers license
- Combination of office-based and field-based work ability to travel
