Role description:

The Workplace Design Manager & Coordinator Architectural will play a key role in overseeing and coordinating workplace design projects to ensure they align with corporate standards stakeholder needs and operational objectives. As a core member of the Centre of Excellence (COE) team this role is responsible for organizing project meetings setting and tracking team deliverables and driving continuous improvement in design outcomes. The position requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders project managers and external consultants to deliver consistent high-quality workplace solutions. Strong organizational communication and leadership skills are essential along with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and foster a culture of proactive problem-solving and teamwork.

Role accountabilities:

  • Stakeholder Liaison & Alignment: Act as the primary interface between the COE and Regional Capital Management teams to ensure all project deliverables and timelines align with global policies and Stage Gate procedures.
  • Workload & Schedule Management: Oversee project delivery schedules and prioritize team workloads across multiple books of work ensuring critical deadlines are met through effective meeting management and resource allocation.
  • Operational Tracking & Documentation: Establish and maintain robust progress trackers and pending-item lists meticulously documenting stakeholder feedback and preparing presentations to articulate project status to leadership.
  • Design Governance & Consistency: Drive global design consistency by ensuring projects adhere to Global Workplace Guidelines while identifying and addressing necessary regional customizations or exceptions through proactive stakeholder engagement.
  • Strategic Resource Utilization: Leverage existing planning metrics governance policies and lessons learned to provide optimized implementation strategies and design solutions for diverse real estate projects.
  • Team Leadership & Talent Development: Manage a reporting team by driving talent development training and succession planning while fostering a People First culture centered on continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Corporate Services Technology stakeholders and appointed Project Managers to troubleshoot operational challenges and implement innovative solutions that enhance overall project efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Architecture (required) as well as experience working within an investment bank or financial services industry strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 7-10 years experience in Workplace Interior Architecture Interior Design or Commercial Design Management.
  • Proven organizational skills ability to prioritize to meet deadlines and provide high quality service to clients.
  • Strong knowledge of document management track progress and deliverables.
