Job Summary
Job Title
Production Manager ( Injection Moulding Machine )
Job Purpose
To oversee and optimize the plastic moulding production process ensuring maximum productivity quality compliance cost efficiency and timely delivery while maintaining safety and machine efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management
Plan organize and monitor daily moulding production schedules
Ensure optimum machine utilization and output achievement
Minimize rejection wastage and downtime
Coordinate with planning maintenance and quality teams
Ensure on-time order execution
Machine & Process Control
Supervise injection/blow moulding operations
Set and optimize machine parameters
Troubleshoot moulding defects and process issues
Ensure proper mold changeover and SMED practices
Monitor cycle time improvements
Handle processing of PET PP PE and ABS materials
Team Management
Lead and supervise shift supervisors operators and helpers
Train manpower on SOPs safety and quality standards
Manage shift planning and manpower allocation
Drive discipline and productivity on the shop floor
Quality & Compliance
Ensure products meet required specifications
Implement process control and quality checks
Reduce customer complaints and internal rejections
Maintain ISO/BRC/FDA (or applicable) compliance
Ensure 5S and GMP practices on the shop floor
Maintenance Coordination
Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance
Work with maintenance team to reduce machine downtime
Monitor mold health and maintenance schedules
Qualification
Diploma / B.E. / in Plastics / Mechanical / Production Engineering
Certification in Injection Moulding (preferred)
Experience
8–15 years in plastic moulding industry
Minimum 3–5 years in managerial role
Experience in houseware / food-grade products preferred
Required Technical Expertise (Mandatory)
Strong hands-on knowledge of PET PP PE and ABS processing
Injection moulding parameter setting
Cycle time optimization
Hot runner / cold runner systems
