Role Summary:
Responsible for supervision and assignment of work within the Global Regulatory Change Management Framework Team in Manila. Responsible for overseeing the review interpretation and dissemination of current and proposed laws and regulations.
Detects and advises management of potential Business compliance issues and recommends procedural changes. Works with manager to set priorities for the team and task allocation/completion and coordination of work activities. Problem solving guided by policies and procedures receiving guidance and oversight from manager.
Major Duties:
Advises business partners including management on applicable laws regulations rules and standards.
Has formal supervisory responsibilities assigns tasks sets short-term priorities coordinates resources to meet operational objectives with support from direct line manager.
Monitors team activities and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work.
Conducts quality assurance across RCM initial applicability triaging.
Contact point for Regulatory Change Management queries related to work completed by the GRCM Framework Team.
Effectively communicates with stakeholders.
Support team manager in documenting and updating procedures and controls.
Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees and review work of others.
Use judgment to identify troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems.
May have direct interaction with committees.
Researches and develops analytical reports and solutions for issues being addressed by the department.
Leads and contributes on bespoke project requests.
Skills/Qualifications:
5 or more years experience preferably in Compliance or Risk Management or equivalent preferably with a global Financial Institution.
A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required / preferred.
Experience in supervising a team / people.
Technical skills/systems knowledge (e.g. Microsoft SharePoint).
Analytical and communication skills required to analyze and summarize information.
Technically sound expertise in area of Regulatory Change/Development Compliance and has broader knowledge of other areas.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required to be able to communicate with all partners.
Leadership and strong organizational skills are needed to prioritize assignments and provide feedback to staff and to coordinate activities.
Provides support guidance and motivation to team members.
Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.
Displays confidence and expertise to advise management and the business.
Deals effectively with multiple competing deadlines.
Knowledge
At least 5 years of Compliance/Risk Management/regulatory experience within a financial institution; understanding of compliance programs.
In-depth knowledge of regulations and relevant laws acquired through formal education and work experience is required.
Analytical and communication skills are necessary to consult with and communicate information to partners to analyze and summarize information and to apply laws and regulations to the Companys business.
